Hassim Magogo Must Resign as FUFA President – Save Ugandan Football!

 

Ugandan football is in crisis, and it’s time for accountability. Under FUFA President Hassim Magogo, our beloved Uganda Premier League (UPL) has suffered due to poor leadership, mismanagement, and lack of transparency.

 

Here’s why we demand his resignation:

 

1. Dictatorial Decisions: Key changes, like the new league format, were forced on clubs, players, and fans without consultation. Football shouldn’t be run like a dictatorship.

 

2. Insufficient Support to Clubs: Clubs get minimal funding, often less than UGX 500,000 for the bottom team—barely enough to cover one player’s salary for a month.

 

3. Delayed Payments to Officials: Referees and officials have gone months without pay, increasing the risk of match-fixing and hurting the integrity of our league.

 

For the future of Ugandan football, for fairness, professionalism, and transparency, we demand Hassim Magogo resign immediately.
