To: Sony Group Corporation and the Board of Directors of Sony Interactive Entertainment

We, the international PlayStation community and loyal consumers, are officially demanding the immediate resignation and removal of Hideaki Nishino from his role as CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
In less than a month, the new leadership has unilaterally implemented a series of radical, anti-consumer policy shifts that are actively dismantling the core identity of the PlayStation brand. Under the pretext of adapting to market trends, these decisions are alienating the player base, causing severe backlash from content creators and influencers, and inadvertently driving consumers toward competitors like Microsoft.
We refuse to accept this destructive direction and demand immediate accountability based on the following four critical actions taken under Nishino's brief tenure:
Abrupt Reversal on Multiplatform Strategy and PC Exclusivity: In less than a month, current leadership has aggressively overturned Sony's established multiplatform expansion.

Based on recent official statements made to Famitsu, the new management is enforcing a restrictive platform-lockout policy, halting the day-and-date release of premium, first-party single-player titles on PC storefronts to keep core narrative intellectual properties strictly bound to PlayStation hardware. This sudden, isolationist shift deeply damages market trust, completely alienates the expanded PC gaming community, and destroys long-term cross-platform ecosystem growth.
Termination of Legacy Support: The complete cessation of support and store functionality for iconic legacy platforms, specifically the PS3 and PS Vita.

This decision actively threatens gaming preservation and disregards the millions of players who still value these digital ecosystems.
Aggressive Terms of Service Updates: The implementation of highly controversial clauses allowing the permanent deletion of PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts after 36 months of inactivity. This policy forces the irreversible forfeiture of entire digital libraries, purchased downloadable content, and remaining monetary wallet credits, completely violating basic consumer rights.
The Eradication of Physical Media by 2028: The official declaration to completely phase out physical retail discs by January 2028. By enforcing a digital-only ecosystem, Sony is establishing a total internal market monopoly over pricing and software distribution. Combined with the threat of account deletion, this move destroys the concept of consumer ownership, damages global retail economies that rely on new and used game sales, and alienates collectors worldwide.

These cumulative strategies demonstrate that current leadership is acting against the long-term health of Sony, destroying decades of consumer goodwill, and severely harming the brand's competitive standing in the industry.
If Sony Group Corporation continues to ignore its community, we will stop supporting the brand financially. Without the players, you collapse. We urge the board to remove Hideaki Nishino immediately and reinstate a management team dedicated to respecting its users, preserving video game history, and protecting consumer rights.
