Call for Immediate Ceasefire between Iran and Israel / Protection of Civilians in Iran

The Issue

To the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and International Human Rights Bodies,

We, concerned citizens and residents of Iran and the global community, are urgently calling for your immediate intervention to stop the ongoing military escalation by the State of Israel and to prevent further loss of innocent lives.

We, the people of Iran, are caught in a conflict we did not choose and cannot control.

We are not soldiers. We are not decision-makers. We are human beings—families, students, workers—who are suffering the consequences of a political game beyond our power.

In recent days, Israel has begun targeting Iranian territory—including residential areas—under the pretext of hitting military infrastructure. These attacks are occurring while millions of civilians remain without access to shelters, crisis coordination, or even basic emergency services. This is collective punishment, and it is in violation of international humanitarian law.

The Iranian people—especially civilians, women, children, and the elderly—are not participants in this war. We are victims of it. We did not choose this path, and we are paying the highest price for decisions we did not make.

We demand:

 1. An immediate ceasefireby all parties involved.

 2. A UN investigationinto civilian casualties and damage to non-military infrastructure.

 3. International diplomatic pressureto return to negotiations and stop this senseless conflict.

 4. Recognition of the Iranian public’s right to peace and safety, independent of political regimes or foreign agendas.

Time is running out. Every day that passes increases the likelihood of greater regional catastrophe and deepens the suffering of innocent people.

We ask you to act—not tomorrow, not after the next airstrike—but now.

Sincerely,

Iranian civilians
