We are calling on all peoples, leaders and media to join an urgent call for Hamas to surrender, disarm, release the Israeli hostages, and end the Gaza war. 

WHY THIS MATTERS

On October 7, 2023, Hamas carried out a coordinated assault on Israeli civilian communities. These acts were deliberately targeted at Israeli Jews because they are Jews, as such meeting the definition of genocide under international law.

Rather than express remorse, Hamas vowed to repeat the attack again and again. (See detailed references below.)

For two years since, every attempt to negotiate or bring peace has been stalled or undermined by Hamas itself.

Ceasefire offers, hostage release deals, and international mediation have all been rejected or manipulated. The reason the war continues is not because peace has not been sought — it is because Hamas, a proscribed terrorist organisation in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries, refuses to surrender, disarm, and release the Israeli hostages.

Only Hamas can end this war.

By holding onto its weapons, the Israeli hostages, and its ideology of violence, Hamas ensures the suffering of both Israelis and Palestinians.

By contrast, if Hamas were to lay down its arms, release the captives, and accept responsibility, the war would end.

This is why global pressure matters.

Leaders, communities, and media must unite in one clear demand:

Hamas must surrender, disarm, release the hostages, and end the war — for the sake of Palestinians trapped under its rule, for the sake of Israelis living under threat, and for the sake of everyone caught in the cycle of violence.

We condemn Hamas for the following:

• Invading Israeli territory on October 7, 2023, launching thousands of rockets, storming communities, murdering 1,200 people with genocidal intent, and committing barbaric acts against music festival goers and Israeli residents.​
• Committing mass rape, torture, and mutilation of Israeli civilians.
• Kidnapping 250 hostages, including women, children, and the elderly, and holding them in Gaza’s terror tunnels.
• Parading murdered Israeli civilians’ bodies through Gaza to cheering crowds.
• Prolonging the war by refusing to surrender and rejecting ceasefires.
• Using civilians, including children, as human shields.
• Militarising hospitals, schools, mosques, and homes.
• Hiding combatants under journalistic identities and credentials.
• Betraying the Palestinian people they were elected to govern.
• Acting as a terror proxy with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to plan and commit the October 7 massacre.

WE CALL FOR HAMAS TO SURRENDER, DISARM, RETURN THE HOSTAGES AND END THIS TERRIBLE WAR.
