As an alumnus of East Henderson High School, and having family members currently enrolled in it, I have a deep personal involvement and investment in the school. Recently, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of the school environment which I firmly believe can be traced back to one person: Principal Brandon Scott. Reports from both the staff and students portray Scott as a leader who treats his employees harshly and negatively affects the school's atmosphere. The high turnover rate amongst teaching staff, which was at an alarming 12% last academic year (source: Henderson County Public Schools Report), speaks volumes about the negative impact Scott has.

Furthermore, the School's once-cherished community spirit seems to be fading under Scott's leadership. Students now lack the vibrant enthusiasm that once characterized East Henderson high school. This drastic change in the school’s spirit and its diminishing academic success are concerning, not only to me but also to many other alumni, students, parents, and staff.

Therefore, we call on the school district to initiate a thorough investigation into Brandon Scott's conduct and leadership. We also request a substantial review of his policies, interaction with staff, and the overall impact on student's morale and academics. We are convinced that the dismissal of Brandon Scott and the appointment of a new principal who respects and uplifts staff, students, and the community is a crucial step toward restoring East Henderson high school’s glory.
