For up 14 years, the Nigerian Fencing Federation (NFF) has remained under the control of a single president without holding a transparent or democratic election, in direct violation of both national governance standards and the statutes of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE).

This prolonged leadership without mandate has resulted in stagnation, lack of accountability, and restricted opportunities for athletes, coaches, and administrators. The absence of change and inclusion at the helm undermines the credibility and future of fencing in Nigeria.

We are calling for:

Immediate announcement and conduct of elections in accordance with national and international sports governance standards.
Appointment of an independent electoral committee to ensure a transparent process.
Regularized term limits and accountability in leadership.
Oversight from both the CAE and the FIE to ensure compliance.
This petition is not targeted at individuals but focused on restoring integrity, fairness, and democratic principles in Nigerian fencing.
