The Trump administration has made an emergency request to the U.S. Supreme Court to legitimize sending in the U.S. military to override civilian authority in U.S. cities despite the opposition of local officials. This is an attack not merely on cities, but upon state and local rights, and in fact upon the whole civil structure of the USA.
