Call for Chicago French Bulldog Rescue board members to resign
The Issue
It has come to my attention that certain board members at Chicago French Bulldog Rescue are attempting to remove Mary Scheffke, the founder from her pivotal role—a move that threatens to dismantle the very fabric of the rescue. This internal conflict has resulted in irreparable damage to the organization , and if allowed to proceed, the contentious litigation process will lead CFBR to financial ruin, potentially bankrupting the organization due to escalating legal fees. The judge ruled on the primary injunction, it’s time for the remaining directors to move on. They should not be allowed to use thousands of donated funds to remove the founder. The rescue funds should be used for the care of the dogs at CFBR. The welfare of our beloved “frenchies” should not be traded for internal disputes and power struggles.
This is a call to action for the remaining board members involved in this ordeal—your continued conflict stands to harm CFBR and its mission irreversibly. Resign immediately so that we can return our focus to rescuing and caring for French Bulldogs, keeping the operational needs of the rescue at the forefront. Mary Scheffke's unparalleled experience is vital, and her leadership essential, especially during such critical times in the rescue landscape.
We urge you, the supporters of French Bulldogs' welfare, to stand with us in this imperative cause. By signing this petition, you actively support the idea that the best interest of CFBR and its mission comes first. Join us in advocating for a future where CFBR can continue to thrive under the proven leadership of Mary Scheffke. Your signature is a step towards preserving and protecting the future of French Bulldogs in need. Please sign this petition today for the immediate removal of the remaining Board Members.
For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my life to the rescue of French Bulldogs. In my journey, I have been privileged to partner with the Chicago French Bulldog Rescue (CFBR), where Mary Scheffke, the founder, has been a beacon of hope for countless "frenchies" in need. Her depth of experience, unwavering commitment, and profound knowledge have been instrumental in transforming CFBR into a sanctuary for these dogs. With French Bulldogs being surrendered at an exceptional rate due to various circumstances, we need Mary's leadership and expertise more than ever.
