Mahchangolhi Uthuru MP Ibrahim Janab has betrayed the trust of his constituents by voting against a proposed ban on Israeli passport holders entering the Maldives—a measure widely supported by the people as a stance against the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israel.

By disregarding the overwhelming wishes of the Mahchangolhi Uthuru community, MP Janab has not only ignored his duty to represent us but has also made himself complicit in the atrocities by enabling further normalization of a genocidal regime.

We believe our elected representatives must reflect the voice of their constituents and take principled stances against oppression. We demand a no-confidence motion against MP Ibrahim Janab to ensure our voices are heard, respected, and upheld.
