Every day, I, along with many others, witness extreme crowding on the Arriva 500 route that services local communities such as Tring, Aylesbury, and Hemel Hempstead. As someone who relies on this route for daily travel, it's both distressing and hazardous to see school children packed, elderly passengers shoved aside, and people often left stranded at bus stops when the bus is full. Doors frequently hit passengers, causing a safety risk that must be addressed immediately.

The need for a larger, more accommodating bus service is clear. Currently, the single-decker buses cannot handle the volume of daily passengers, leading to unnecessary discomfort and safety risks. Increasing the capacity with a double-decker bus would alleviate these issues, ensuring that school children can commute safely, the elderly can travel without fear of being pushed, and everyone can be assured a seat during their journey.

Transport solutions, such as double-decker buses, are successfully implemented in similarly-sized UK towns, providing a proven model for increased passenger comfort and safety.
