The Issue

Canada is a country I love deeply, a place full of rich history and diverse cultures. However, as a Canadian, I have come to realize that our legal system may not fully represent us. For over a century, we have been utilizing laws that were adapted from a British constitution - a framework that was not originally tailored for us as a nation. It's time for us to assert our sovereignty by redefining the laws and rights that govern our lives.

Ottawa, our seat of government, has been the center of political power, but also, as it seems, a hub where politicians operate with minimal accountability. Many feel that the federal government twists our rights to suit its agenda, leaving Canadians without true representation and power. The documentary "Canada: The Illusion" on YouTube attempts to uncover these truths, showing us how the lack of accountability has allowed government officials to act without facing consequences for over a century.

Citizens of Canada deserve a true and lawful Constitutional Convention — one that reflects our own distinct values, needs, and aspirations. We must collectively decide what our legal rights should be. This is crucial not only for ensuring that our laws genuinely reflect Canadian values and interests but also to establish a system where those in power are held accountable to the people they serve.

We demand a Constitutional Convention to debate and establish what our lawful rights and laws ought to be, crafted by Canadians, for Canadians. The time has come for us to define who we are, and what we stand for, under a constitution that embodies our unique identity.

Please sign this petition if you believe in a Canadian constitution truly made by its people, accountable to its people.
