The Medicine Hat Library is holding a Q&A tonight at 630 with the Mayor and some coucil members. Questions apparently had to be submitted in advance through an online form bit I encourage anyone who can attend to please do.

We are still waiting on cost information, on the listing and explanation of utility bill fees, and we have asked the Mayor with no response when we, the citizens, will have an opportunity for input on how the rates will be set going forward. They are recommending lowest market rate which as of Aug appears to be 24 cents or so per kWh.

It's important we are given the opportunity to have a voice about how rates are set going 6and that we are given the information we need (the information I've requested in my FOIP) in order to understand what any rate chosen means to us and to the City and to the profit of the utility

Keep the pressure on. The Mayor said on Chat News this week your signature here, but more appalling, your comments here aren't worth her time because Change.org is not official. She stated she will only look at a recall petition. How does that make you feel? It makes me feel like out voices don't matter and she's forcing us to attempt to have her recalled in order to have a chance to have our voices heard.

I'm her own campaign words she promised..."We need to ensure our City’s policies and services are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all. City government should ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in the City’s decision-making processes."

I've asked her twice for this this week. No reply.

Thanks for your support!

Nicole
