Restore the Flow of Fresh Water to the San Francisco Bay Estuary

Restore the Flow of Fresh Water to the San Francisco Bay Estuary
The Issue
California's in its 4th year of drought. But many of the unique fish species in California's San Francisco Bay Estuary have experienced catastrophic drought for most of the last three decades. Why? Because people take too much water (more than 50% on average) out of the rivers that feed the Bay and its estuary.
Now, populations of several species, including Chinook salmon, are at or near their lowest levels ever. And, California has responded by CUTTING the flow of fresh water, the lifeline for struggling fish populations, below the minimum levels established by law.
Unless we restore the flow of fresh water from California's rivers to the San Francisco Bay Estuary, one or more unique species may go extinct. Let the California State Water Resources Control Board know that you expect them to protect these priceless resources -- extinction is forever.
