With the growth of the Calexit movement and similar sentiments growing across the entire U.S Pacific Coast it seems part of the United States is heading towards succession. It is my personal belief that if they do succeed in separating they should join Canada. Along with almost tripling the Canadian population to 83 Million it would increase our overall GDP to 4.1 Trillion, making us the 4th largest economy on the planet. 

Along with sharing many similar social, economic, political and religious views with Canada joining into this Union would allow this new State to exert major influence on the world stage, allowing values of tolerance, acceptance, freedom, scientific intrigue, environmentalism, indigenous rights, technological growth and free speech to again take center stage on the world.

In such a turbulent time the world needs to be reminded of what so many previous generations fought for and as many take a step backward this would allow a new power to promote what we are so close to losing in many parts of the world.
