Time for round two!!

My name is Patrick Hofstetter and I am humbled by the support for this petition I started. Now 75,000 of you signed, what I consider to be one of the most important issues facing the State's Higher Education System. Teaching our youth personal hate rhetoric. It’s time to turn up the heat! Although the University’s President Joseph I. Castro has elected to ignore this extraordinarily large number of petitioners, by retaining Professor Jarrar on his staff, we still have the ability to show him what we can do as a group. As I read the letter from the president of the university (see previous update) along with several comments online, the deciding factors that allowed this professor to receive no consequences were: 1. Their claim of Freedom of Speech as a private citizen. 2. Monetary costs of litigation. 3. No Violations of CSU's policies and the Professor's tweet regarding her salary and tenure. Hate speech is protected as Free Speech true, but clearly not what the Founding Fathers had in mind. Her private Twitter account actually mentions the University as her employer, furthermore inciting violence through her other videos is the most troubling. Not 100% sure whether or not the other videos were on private or university time. If she were acting on the latter, not only should that be grounds for her immediate dismissal, she should also be on a government watch-list. When it comes to the monetary well being, whether relating to the cost savings of protecting a professor, that clearly could care less about the university's well being or to the group of us that now after this embarrassment, will no longer support this school with tuition or donations. Which one would be the least costly. Again thank you, I urge you to not stop this battle. Our children are depending on us fighting for what is right.
