The pandemic is ongoing, we feel unsafe returning to campus in the Spring of 2022.

-        We believe this change has occurred too quickly and the department has not given us enough notice. Students have not had a proper amount of time to make the financial arrangements. These arrangements include housing, childcare, and work schedules. Students need more time to move back on campus. Students are living further away from school and relocating in the middle of the school year is not possible for those who do not have the finances to do so.

-        We feel as though the safety measures are not enough.  Large classes are being implemented, some (such as CD 445 and 446) are so large they require being in auditoriums. These classes are not only large in size but are also held for a prolonged period of time- almost three hours. Being in a classroom for prolonged periods of time indoors with 60+ students is not something we feel safe doing. This is not sufficient social distancing we are not comfortable with this. We should not have to choose between our success in a class and our own health.

-        Online classes are effective, we feel keeping classes online is necessary during this pandemic. We are living drastically differently to before the pandemic, and we have adapted to online learning. Switching back in the middle of our school year and in the middle of a pandemic will create many difficulties. We have not had enough time to make the proper arrangements to return to campus.

-        Suggestions/Ideas from students for online learning: Live streaming classes being held in person for those who feel safer online. Offering at least one section of each CD class online and allowing students to choose to take all online courses. 

-        WE URGE YOU TO RECONSIDER AND KEEP ONLNE CLASSES AN OPTION FOR THOSE WHO FEEL UNSAFE RETURNING TO CAMPUS.
