NE and West Coast states secede and become part of Canada

NE and West Coast states secede and become part of Canada
The Issue
Our votes need to matter. We need to get a government that actually represents our value system. There seems to be only Blue and Red every time, we will never, ever be a country of purple. Let Blue win. Compromise might be good in most things, but do we want to constantly have to compromise our values to live in a country where half the population has a completely different set of priorities.
The country is horribly divided. No one can debate that. But, this is not a new phenomenon, there have been two Americas since the very beginning. Even when Democrats win it is always by only ½ the popular vote, give or take. This leads to a government upheaval every four to eight years, as the American public is constantly voting in change. This leads to non-ending chaos and instability. Due to our electoral college system, our elections are never about all our citizens. They are about those that live in ten specific states. We will never be heard. This will never stop. Therefore it is time TO GO.
We hear of California or Oregon wishing to secede, but I propose they do not go it alone. I suggest that the West coast and the Northeast secede from the U.S. and join Canada. It is the easiest and best solution, and would leave us a contiguous country, connected on both coasts.
Canada is a country that more espouses are values. They are inclusive for the most part, they have government programs in place to help ALL citizens. They embrace immigrants and the diversity they bring. And the move could be easier than individual secession. We would have a built in monetary system, so we do not have to invent a new currency. A system of government is already in place. We could make up two new provinces, thereby having some autonomy. It is the perfect solution.
The states I propose leaving the divisive, backward moving U.S., to join with our forward thinking, inclusive neighbors to the north are: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii.
