Judge Wells has a history of ignoring DV TRO's, drug rehab reports and allocating custody to fathers when these are the mandatory legal circumstances required for sole legal and sole physical custody to the parent who does not have these issues. Mothers routinely report the nightmarish experience of dealing with Judge Wells in Department 2 J and the utterly "Horrific" nightmare of their experience, with a mental attitude that is completely biased and prejudiced against mothers in every single capacity. "Judge Wells also ignored my DV TRO, during our custody dispute. I cannot begin to explain the horror and fear I felt when having to enter Judge Wells' courtroom. Please do not let another person be subjected to such unjust circumstances. Judge Wells ignored any and all paperwork, "proving" my claims. Even though my ex had no real proof to any aligation, Judge Wells believed all he submitted, purely false readings in written by my ex.... complete fabrications. But Judge Wells loudly objected to read or look at my police reports, criminal records and multiple drug rehab paperwork all actual records against my ex. Judge Wells acted as though no DV or criminal activity existing with my ex and that I some how was the criminal. Judge Wells also commented during Court proceedings that he " does not beleive in Domestic violence shelters and that he knows what they are about". My two little ones of 2 and 3 years old and I were seeking safety in one for several months. The horror furthers on, I just hope and pray something changes in his court proceedings. I cannot tell you how I totally felt. I felt like there was no fair justice system. I could not within myself nor explain to others; make any sense of the harsh reality that sat in Judge Wells' courtroom. I started questioning everything. Thankfully years later Judge Wells was taken off our case to finally obtain the justice with Judge Otis Sterling. Because of the damage Judge Wells had put in place it still took so many, too many offenses consistently portrayed from my ex to Finally prove my case. Now my children are safe.. my life is different, we can Live. Thank you there is a justice system. And yes my ex is in prison for a very long time. We can finally breathe!! You can too!!"
