By removing a candidate's party affiliation from the ballot, voters will be forced to educate themselves at the most basic level. This in turn will hopefully encourage them to further look into important issues facing their state and nation.

Let's prevent voters oblivious to the world around them from voting on a straight party-line basis for ANY political party. True democracry exists on the basis of a participatory system, not voting based on the letters R and D after a candidate's name.
