This is super important to the students at El Camino! As you might know, we are not allowed in the buildings ten minutes after lunch starts, but they have taken it to a new level this past week. They will not let you in for any reason. Kids needed to take tests and get make up homework, but were told that it was their fault. My friend said she needed to take her daily pill and was not allowed in. My other friend was about to pass out and almost did, and they still wouldn't let her in. I needed to go to the bathroom, but the line was super long because there are over 4,000 students at our school and there was one bathroom open for student use during lunch. When you go to the cafateria to go get your lunch, by the time you come back, you're not allowed back in the building. Today it was 91 degrees and they wouldn't open up the doors for ones who couldn't handle the heat. I talked to the people in charge and they said they would change it and they haven't. I talked to a staff member in the office today and she told me I was spoiled because I couldn't handle the heat. They told me to sit in the shade when the shade is only a few degrees cooler. Monday is supposed to be 106 degrees and, as far as I'm concerned, this is a safety hazard.
