Repeal/Abolish California Code of Regulations Title 14, section 265(d)

Repeal/Abolish California Code of Regulations Title 14, section 265(d)
The Issue
Many states allow hunters to utilize tracking systems, and GPS (Global Positioning System) on their hunting dogs collars. California has a Code of Regulation in place to prohibits the use of such collars. (California Code of Regulations Title 14, section 265(d) regarding the use of GPS on dog collars while hunting mammals.) Contrary to what some would claim, or believe, these collars do not provide "unfair advantage to the hunters." The GPS and other tracking systems, are simply tools, utilized to allow the human hunters to be able to locate their canine hunting companions more efficiently. Furthermore, these tracking devises have proven extremely valuable to hunters world wide, in locating a dog that has been injured during a hunt, lost or ensnared in dense brush. Legalizing the use of a GPS tracking system on dog collars, will save lives. Please help us send a message to the California Dept. of Fish and Game, as well as California Legislators, that you support the Legalization of using GPS collars on hunting dogs while hunting mammals, by signing this petition. Thank you for your support.
