CDCR and GTL VSA scheduling system.
Every week on Friday and Saturdays at 6:00am, the VSA system crashes. Crash times have sometimes been up to 2-3hours with families not being able to log on to the VSA. Families struggle for many reasons being that most are busy with day to day activities such as traveling and work, all while feeling the stress of having to refresh the VSA system to ensure that the server is back up and running to make an appointment. It is believed that the VSA system cannot handle all of the scheduling attempts at the same time as these time slots are the same for all visitors across the California facilities. Visiting a loved one should not be this hard! 
We are suggesting staggering facility scheduling days or times possibly by northern and southern California facilities. We believe staggering to reduce the number of users trying to login and schedule at the same time would greatly help with the burden of the VSA crashing.
