Yesterday, a letter arrived from the Board of Psychology, CA, stating that they have received our complaint against Ellen Lacter and will begin the process of review. The full letter is attached. The bizarre claims that were being made by the licensed mental health professionals at the Survivorship conference exceeded even the expectations of those of us who had thought we'd heard the worst that the Satanic Panic fringe had to offer. Please see the linked report, and keep in mind that this conference was sanctioned to offer Continuing Education Units to attending professionals. The degree of Mental Healthcare oversight failure that could make this possible beggars the imagination. Let's not let them disregard the Ellen Lacter investigation. Let's continue to collect signatures on the petition until the Board of Psychology admits the obvious: the woman is not mentally fit to practice...
