Chrome is being asked to relearn two years worth of training and conditioning, and learning something entirely new, in the span of 6 weeks. He will have to condition muscles that will be tested differently than he has had to use before: back, rear, legs. Running in a different direction, on deep, tiring turf, undulating track with the finish in an incline. Martin thinks that "this time he's right." Well, he just may be wrong. It is a totally different situation going to Dubai, racing on dirt, and running in the same direction he has been used to, so that whether he had a race on the surface or not, this was probably not the difference. Nevertheless, he was given a lot of credit for a well-run race.. Totally different than asking the horse to go to Newmarket and totally start over. Chrome likes to please, and he will try, but I fear he could wind up being injured and the effort could knock him out so that he never wants to run again, or worse. Chrome is not a machine.... Please help bring Chrome home to the USA.
