Commissioner's Court meets again tomorrow morning, June 23 at 9am to discuss the removal of the Confederate monument from the county courthouse. Our chances are looking pretty good. It seems like the court is most interested in relocating the monument to the Caldwell County museum. It is not a perfect solution, but I believe is achieves our goal so I will be joining the push for relocation to the museum should the Judge recommend that solution. 

There is a lot of pushback from locals about funding the removal. I got a quote for about $5K and while I do think the county should be paying for this, I think independently raising the funds will make our case stronger.
