As Cal Poly Pomona students, we are concerned with the total amount of fees that we will be paying while taking mandatory virtual classes for the Fall 2020 semester. We are in no way blaming California State Polytechnic University, Pomona for the pandemic; however, we would like to ask if the University can waive some of the campus-based fees and lower the tuition cost. We are asking for these fees to be reduced because students are not gaining the same level of education as we would have had from in-person classes. We are not using all of the resources that we are paying for in our tuition. Therefore, it would only be fair to have us pay for the resources that we are actually using.

Tuition fee: $2,871

Auxiliary (On Campus-Based) Fees: $848.11 (the following depicts what they charge us for)

-Medical Facility: $3.00

-Union: $403.97

-ASI Fee: $63.30

-IRA Fee: $20.00

-Student Health Fee: $134.34

-Student Success Fee: $223.50
