What in the world was that?

Up 24-0 in the first quarter against one of the juggernaut teams in the NFL, Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien managed to continue his trend of bottom tier game management skills and inability to lead an NFL team, ultimately losing the game 51-31, basically losing 51-7 after the first quarter.

I believe I speak on behalf of all Texans fans when I say that this is not the first, fifth, or tenth time we have seen this story from BOB before. Today was the final straw. The inability to utilize generational franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson along with first team All-Pros Deandre Hopkins and J.J. Watt (just a little bit of a superbly talented roster) is alarming and a change needs to be made. We need someone who not only can manage a game correctly and doesn’t choke on the biggest stage, but also somebody who is able to utilize their players and maximize their full potential, like Andy Reid is doing with Patrick Mahomes.

To this I ask you, Cal McNair; Do not settle for mediocrity. This is a football city, a football state. We love the Houston Texans, which is why we demand the immediate termination of Bill O’Brien. We want the best product possible on the field, and that simply is not the case right now. I’m sure that Bill is a great man, and we are all aware that he is human and has a family, but the NFL is a business and a business only. This is a “what have you done for me lately” league, and Bill O’Brien has been in a plateau of early playoff exits since his tenure in this great city began.

Please Mr. McNair, do the right thing. Your father brought football back to Houston, and now you can make it great again.
