The message below is from Larry Hanson, President of Forest Unlimited. Forest Unlimited has joined Friends of the Gualala River and our local Native Plant Society in suing to stop the Dogwood Timber Harvest Plan. First, the action you can do to support our work in protecting Sonoma County forests and watersheds is to show up at a court hearing and observe the proceedings. As you know, we are involved in legally contesting the Dogwood THP that threatens the Gualala River and its watershed. We are attempting to add the issue of failure to properly assess Cumulative Impacts to the case called “augmenting the record”. We would like to fill the courtroom to show the court that there is wide and deep interest and concern about the case and its cumulative impacts to the river and watershed. The hearing for this is on Wednesday, January 25 at 3 pm in Courtroom 18. The judge is Rene Chouteau. The address is 3055 Cleveland Avenue in Santa Rosa. The case is Forest Unlimited et al v. Cal Fire (SCV-259216). PLEASE GET THERE EARLY. Thank you. Larry Hanson, Board President Forest Unlimited If you can attend, please do so! Thank you, Jeanne Jackson
