My husband lost his daughter to Brain Cancer in 2012. The pain and agony of a young adult and their family knowing that they have a terminal disease, their suffering being completely out of any ones control, knowing that they will die is unbearable to a family.

This young lady By the name of Lauren Hill fought till the day she died not for herself but to help raise awareness of cancer and funds for the treatment of cancer. She showed the upmost respect for her dreams, passion for the sport of basketball till her last breathe or air.

By no means am I in a position to say Jenner is not worthy of this award, however as a parent that has been touched by cancer and has had a loss that will never be filled again, I have started this petition to possible reach Jenner with the hopes that out of respect for true sportsmanship out of respect for Lauren Hill, her family and everyone else's life that has been touched by cancer decline the award and present it to Lauren's family.
