Did you know that foie gras is considered a food "delicacy?" Consider this: Foie gras starts with a duck or goose kept in filthy cages and conditions, who has a metal tube shoved down his or her throat where he or she is force-fed "junk" to make the liver expand to large proportions. Then, the duck or goose is slaughtered, and the foie gras is sold for an enormous price at a restaurant or a store, as foie gras is deemed a food "delicacy." Does any of that sound "delicate" to you?
