Cadent Gas has recently posted an article on their website about biodiversity, claiming that Cadent is taking steps to be an industry leader in this field.

They also claim that there is no evidence to suggest that their work adversely affects wildlife in urban settings.

However, I have spoken with members of Cadent Gas' workforce, who have told me that they have personally found hedgehogs at the bottom of uncovered excavations. So Cadent's claim is clearly untrue. Sadly it appears that cases of wildlife falling into their holes is either not being fully reported or not being recorded anywhere.

I think it is obvious to most people that leaving deep, excavated holes uncovered, poses a real danger to wildlife, so this practice needs to stop NOW!

A big thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition. Please keep sharing, the more signatures we get, the more pressure we can put on Cadent Gas.
