We have more than 5,000 commuters going to the Metroplex daily, yet we lost our Dallas stations (Fox 4 and NBC Channel 5 on 12/31/11, and CBS Channel 11 a few months back), therefore losing our Dallas news.

Cable One says these are duplicate channels, but two TV stations (KTEN and KXII) own all our local stations. They both own several stations each (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CW). That means all the news for these stations is duplicated. The local stations do not have the same quality of news as the Dallas stations.

The only Dallas station we have left is channel 8 WFAA. It is only a matter of time before Cable One does away with it because they say we have a local ABC station. Then we will have no Dallas stations or Dallas news even though we are only 30-40 minutes from the Metroplex. When channel 8 is gone, we will only have KXII and KTEN news- nothing out of Dallas and nothing covering North Texas, even though most of us go to the Metroplex on a regular basis.

Many people work in the Metroplex and go there daily. Those people need traffic reports, weather and news for the area where they spend their days.

We must unite to let Cable One know that we are not happy. We want our Dallas Stations back!

Despite our best efforts, Cable One of Grayson County decided no longer to carry KDFW FOX 4 and KDFI my 27 out of Dallas because Cable One is in the Sherman-Ada TV market and carry KXII DT2 channel 12.2 and KXII DT3 channel 12.3 which are your local My Net and FOX affiliated TV stations.  They can be found on channel 3 (My Net) and channel 6 (FOX) on your Cable One system.

Cable One of Grayson County decided that since they offer your local FOX Texoma (ch 6) and My Texoma (ch 3); that they did not want to carry us also.  We would like to be available on Cable One in Grayson County along with KXII’s “My Texoma” (cable ch 3) and KXII’s “FOX Texoma” (cable ch 6).

Please call Cable One in Sherman at 903-893-6548 and ask them to bring back KDFW Fox 4 and KDFI my 27.
