We, the residents of California’s 23rd Congressional District, call for Jay Obernolte to retract his statement made October 7th, 2023 in regards to Israel’s attack on Palestine, where he openly supported Israel and sending U.S. aid to assist in the genocide and total destruction of Palestine. We request that Congressman Obernolte not only retract this statement, but aid in the call for a total ceasefire and end to the mass murder and attack being brought onto Palestine at the hands of Israel. Additionally, this petition also will be directed to all Congresspeople, Senators, and Representatives of CA to urge action in demanding an immediate ceasefire and stop to U.S. aid for Israel. What is happening is a complete genocide of Palestinians in real time, comparable to the Holocaust. We will not have a repeat of events while we are able to stand our ground and demand change and peace for a Free Palestine. Palestine has been illegally occupied by Israel since 1967, and this oppression has demolished tens of thousands of Palestinians and their properties, not to mention the total displacement of an entire population.
