It is May 10.  A sad day for me.  Two months ago I let my beloved cat Shadow outside.  I'd been doing this for 6 years.  She'd go outside, and in 15 minutes return to sleep in the sun in her favorite outdoor chair.  By noon I knew something was wrong.  Shadow disappeared. She was microchipped, but all the searching, calling, posters, web site alerts, knocking on doors, garages, and sheds have been unsuccessful in finding her.  I went on numerous calls down to the highway where someone said they saw her, but CalTrans may have been there first.  I'll never know. That's my personal story about why CalTrans needs to scan for microchips.  Thank you to all who have joined me in this petition.
