In the dog and cat meat trade, most of the animals are stolen from their families or picked up as strays and shipped to illegal slaughterhouses that torture them mercilessly. The dogs and cats endure immense suffering until their last breath.
Furthermore, dog and cat meat makes people sick by spreading E. coli, salmonella, cholera and rabies. The industry is a hazard to animals and people, and must be stopped.
