Niners Faithful, I do apologize for not keeping up with this petition as often as I had wanted to. Aside from this, we as a fan base face a bigger issue. I noticed that the flow of signatures stopped as soon as the 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons back in Week 9. However, the Niners' woes continued; despite earning one win over the Chicago Bears. With lacking performances behind both sides of the ball, its hard to watch a team with so much promise collapse like this. While we may not be absolutely certain, the 49ers could have joined the Carolina Panthers and the Arizona Cardinals; being an NFC team to have clinched a playoff spot early in the season if Harbaugh and notable star players were still here. This season, there were hardly any dominant NFC teams aside from Carolina and Arizona. With playoff spots being up for grabs like it has been here in the NFC, the team we saw in three consecutive postseasons would've nearly waltzed their way into the postseason. However, York seems to believe that one "bad season" reflects the efforts of a head coach. Ironically, the 49ers would only be 6-10 if they were to win the final two games this season. Under Harbaugh, his worst season was only 8-8. York still seems to have failed to acknowledge how hard it must be to coach a team riddled by injuries, and have a General Manager like Trent Baalke drafting the wrong players; leaving struggling positions thin and understaffed. Despite Baalke's daughter going off on a tangent about former offensive coordinator Greg Roman and former head coach Jim Harbaugh, York still found Harbaugh to be the enemy. It would have been a risky decision but, did York ever consider cutting ties with Baalke; seeing that he doesn't get along with other members of the organization let alone the fact he criticizes them at home with his family? Sadly, Baalke's sob stories and saint acts won York over. As a CEO, Im still somehow baffled that York decided to play favorites rather than promote any kind of unity in the organization. How does York expect to get any valuable free agents for next season with the way the team is being managed? Will Baalke actually draft someone the 49ers need, rather than what they want, considering how high their pick will be next season? Aside from the recap summary, it appears that York just may possibly be considering selling the team. As of now, it doesn't appear that he's going anywhere for a long time since the 49ers are nothing but a "cash cow" to him. Reading this article, it appears that Ellison has already expressed interest to purchase the team and was turned down- with the window of opportunity left a crack. Lets reopen that window! This team has so much potential but little time to show that they can be one of the NFL's greatest again. Please share with your friends and fellow faithful!
