Problem

This petition is in response to the letter from the Vaad HaChinuch. We, as the parents, grandparents, neighbors, friends, and close associates of children in the school, respectfully request that changes are made to JDBY-YTT policy. It is dangerous to put the vulnerable population including; expecting mothers, infants, immunosuppressed individuals and geriatric population at risk.

Solution
Change in JDBY-YTT policy to require all students and faculty, present and future, to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination. This will comply with the Illinois Department of Public Health Requiments, the Dayan of Agudath Yisroel of Illinois and Av Beth Din CRC

About the Measles

Measles can be prevented with the measles vaccine, however there are people that cannot get vaccinated due to age, medication interactions, allergies and other contraindicated conditions. Therefore, it is imperative that those who can be protected are. Due to the recent outbreak in Monsey, Sping Valley, New Square, Brooklyn and Detroit, herd immunity is not as effective.
