We need the paper more for neccessities; toilet paper, tissues, education; and there is a major shortage. We want to stop cutting trees. Paper receipts can’t be recycled, due to the thick print and lammination, and if we could take something out of the trash, we are saving about 100 trees per trash can. 49% of Americans do not hold on to receipts, making the printed ones even more wasteful. 
We have to save trees, and part of that is using less paper. Printed receipts in the United States and Canada alone kill  3,000,000 trees per year, leading to droubts. We can’t keep doing this!!!
