Bury South deserves a by-election now!
The Issue
Christian Wakeford MP, elected as a Conservative in 2019 has crossed the floor to join the Labour Party. Having co-signed a bill forcing defectors to call a by-election, he must now allow Bury South residents to have their say — or risk gross hypocrisy.
In 2019, Bury South residents voted Conservative for the first time in generations.
They voted for the Boris agenda: getting Brexit done, uniting & levelling up the country. They want a government that delivers on the people's priorities.
Bury South voted to keep Labour OUT of power. This is a Labour Party that tried to install Corbyn as PM twice, blocked Brexit and would have kept us in permanent lockdown since July.
