Our group is trying to save the Empire Theatre in Burnley from demolition. The delapidated facade houses a splendid example of Victorian design, all in a state of urgent repair and restoration. Our group aims with the support of the local community to purchase and restore this gem to its former glory. This can then be used to support our town educationally, commercially, and culturally, as part of this greats towns regeneration. Supporting this project by signing our petition sends a message to Burnley council that the people of this area want to keep the Empire Theatre, and that the elected council should provide whatever support it can to this project, for the greater good of the people who elected them.
