Officers Joseph Corrow, Jason Bellavance, and Cory Campbell of the Burlington Police Department have displayed a pattern of violence without provocation or just cause. We are calling for their termination from the Burlington Police Department, as their actions are a threat to the safety of the community. We also demand that they not be re-hired in Chittenden County.

Patterns of violence:

Joseph Corrow:

• Assault of Mabior Jok, knocking him to the ground unconscious and bleeding, without announcement or instructions. Source.
• Lawsuit document.

Cory Campbell:

• The homicide of Douglas Kilburn whom he punched repeatedly to the ground, resulting in skull fractures that contributed to his death three days later. Source.
• Tackling and injuring Albin Meli, whose brother was being assaulted by officer Bellavance. Source.

Jason Bellavance:

• Assault of Jeremie Meli without engaging or addressing him and without cause. Bellavance pushed Meli into a wall where he fell unconscious to the pavement and proceeded to drift in and out of consciousness, vomiting on the sidewalk. Meli has since struggled with his vision and balance, as well as comprehension difficulties. Source.
• The assault of John Brayshaw during an arrest at a hot dog stand, where Bellavance knocked Brayshaw to the ground resulting in head and face injuries.
