allow the import and free market of the MP-412 REX
The Issue
so let me get this straight, i can buy a .50cal BGM sniper rifle that can shoot a mile out but i cant buy a harmless revolver from russia simply because it has no sporting value? um lets see here if someone wanted to kill someone theyd pick the sniper heck if they wanted to they would just go out and buy an 80 dollar shotgun saw it off to the size of a pistol then kill someone, you restrict firearms to law abiding citizens way to much, use some common sense (opps your the government you dont know what common sense is sorry.) well if your a criminal your gonna get the gun illegally or modify it illegally so your laws dont work very well, a criminal isnt going to go out and purchase the top price weapon to kill someone hes going to but the cheap highpoint brand handgun or the old as dirt ww2 weapon so why dont ya stop trying to control the american people and give us our gun rights back

The MP412 REX is a Russian double-action .357 magnum revolver with a break-action chamber and an automatic ejector. It was designed for export (REX, Revolver for EXport), but never put into full production due to lack of a market. The weapon was designed by IZHMECH, the state-owned Russian Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, which also designed and produced the Makarov PM semi-automatic pistol.
The MP412 was unique in that it had a break-open frame rather than a swing out cylinder design of most modern revolvers and a composite bottom frame consisting of steel with a polymer envelope. The REX never entered full production, possibly due to lack of market interest. This may be due to the break-action design being seen as not as strong as the more modern swing out cylinder design which is inherently stronger, having a solid top instead of a top latch
