The Israeli occupation in Palestine, one that has been going on for the last 57 years. According to Human Rights Watch more than 600,000 Jews live in about 140 settlements built in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. These settlements are considered illegal under international law as the land was designated for the Palestinian nation state and it's people. For years Palestinians have suffered under an apartheid regime infringing on their human rights through arbitrary monitoring and policing. This is an issue I feel very strongly about because I believe everyone deserves human rights.

We urge the Swiss government to stand up for human rights to encourage Israel to stop their blockade in Gaza and the bombings. According to the European Parliament "Israel’s military occupation and illegal blockade of the Gaza Strip has crippled its healthcare system and public infrastructure. Israel has effectively turned Gaza into a high-population-density open-air prison." Many families in Gaza have lost loved ones due to the bombings that have taken place. I am requesting your support in pushing the Swiss government to encourage Israel to stop their blockade in Gaza and the bombings. By signing this petition we will send a message to the Israeli government making clear we do not condone human rights violations.
