The Class of 2020 has worked too hard for 13 years to hear their name called over a computer and pick up their diploma at a different time with no fellow students present. I know personally, I want my friends since Kindergarten see me receive what we have all worked so hard for. From turning in huge projects, to presenting a research paper, stressing over exams, and more we have earned walking across a stage if it is possible. We are only in May! Why would we decide on Graduation now when we have no idea what the worlds situation will be like in July or August! This petition is for ANYONE who agrees that there should not be a decision on Graduation yet and to stay away from virtual as long as we can! We have already been ripped from our Senior walk, picnic, prom, and now possibly Graduation too with much more events I could add! As a part of the Class of 2020, I can assure all that this decision is not “great”. If you want to do something for the class of 2020, let us have a chance at the Graduation we desire and deserve! Let’s stand against virtual Graduation!
