Say NO to Paid Parking in Bunbury CBD

The issue

In 2011 the City of Bunbury Council installed Parking Meters in the CBD to combat a foreseen rising population and economy.   Since this installation we have not seen either.  Instead we have seen over 90 stores close and a gradual decline in shoppers and visitors,  less employment and financial ruin of many hard working families.  We are faced with an ever changing world, downturn in the mining sector, online shopping, expanding outer shopping centres, which has all impacted on our city.  Many of these factors we cannot change, but we can change parking fees.

We need the City of Bunbury Council to act now and implement

  • 2 HOURS FREE ON-STREET PARKING within the CBD Monday to Friday
  • FREE ALL DAY parking Saturday Sunday and Public Holidays

We as the Ratepayers and Visitors of the City of Bunbury believe that these small changes will aid in creating a culturally rich and vibrant community.

We are asking the City of Bunbury Council to implement these strategies to work together in rebuilding our city with the aim of attracting diverse interaction within our locality.
