Nearing 500: Gooood Monday Monday Supporters!

Wow, what a weekend.
We are over 400 signatures for our town bunny hill, and still counting!
I will say it again, if you are able, please join either - or both - the Basin Recreation Zoom meeting on March 2nd at 12p or the in-person meeting, same day, 6p-8p at the Fieldhouse. I will be attending both!
I also want to reiterate that Basin Recreation is only the first appeal as they make the most sense to host. There are quite a few individuals that are against this idea of a town bunny. Most argue they do not want their tax dollars to support such a thing. I am certain we all have our own feelings on what "tax dollars" should be spent on. Keep this is mind when you are SHARING the petition with others, and be kind to opposing viewpoints.
We that have signed and are going to sign are doing this for the kids and their families. Park City is beginning to feel more like a retirement community based on the comments I am receiving. But we all know Park City is, in fact, a family community!
That said, while the pain points are many and are the reasons for this movement, we may find that not all points will be met 100%. The hill may not be free, but we can surely encourage it to be the most affordable option in town. A few of my ideas at current are:
- $5/child/visit under the age of 6 (guardians free)
- $40-$50/"season"/skier; unlimited access during open hours (this does include all ages)
- $25/month under the age of 6; $10/guardian; no pro-rates
If you have any additional ideas on how we can keep the hill actually affordable compared to anything in town, please share in the comments or email me directly: kaylarjacks@gmail.com
I advocate for a free hill, but I also would like to be prepared to offer other solutions that stay inline with our goals.
Thank you to all that have supported this petition so far, and a special "thank you" to those that have spent their own money to promote it. It says a lot!
Have a wonderful Monday, and don't forget to SHARE: https://www.change.org/pcbunnyhill
