Virginia Beach has a large community of skaters from all age ranges and skill levels. Tony Hawk, Jackalope and Virginia Beach city had teamed up to give Virginia Beach a Sk8 competition from June 2-4. In which people gathered from all around to come and experience it and several local skaters, got to skate the park as well.
But when the competition was over, local skaters return to what we had thought was a new park on the sand to see construction workers, tearing it down. It caused a disappointment to many of the skaters in the community. A new park on the sand would not only be a huge tourist attraction, but it would be a great add on to the large population of skaters That Virginia already has. And so forth this petition is to receive enough signatures for us as a community to receive a new park built on the sand. Open to all skill levels with proper warning of course and fresh new look to Virginia Beach oceanfront
