BUILD MORE FIELDS AND Keep Mad Dogs Flag and youth sports at Ralph Carter

The Issue

Petition to Preserve Mad Dogs Flag Football’s Access to Ralph Carter Park and Lighted Sports Fields!  BUILD A SPORTS COMPLEX!

To: Palm CoastCity Council Name Members

From: Concerned Residents of Palm Coast

We, the undersigned residents of Palm Coat, respectfully urge the City Council to continue supporting youth access to Ralph Carter Park and its lighted sports fields, specifically for Mad Dogs Flag Football!  We also urge the city to find ways to increase lighted sports fields or the construction of a sports complex

Ralph Carter Park is a vital community resource that provides a safe, structured environment for young athletes to engage in healthy activities, develop teamwork skills, and build lifelong friendships. The park’s well-maintained, lighted fields allow for evening practices and games, accommodating the schedules of working parents and ensuring that local youth have ample opportunities to participate in sports.

While we acknowledge that a small number of individuals may have concerns, we believe it is crucial to consider the broader community benefits. The overwhelming majority of residents, families, and youth athletes support the continued use of Ralph Carter Park as it was intended—to serve as a hub for recreation, fitness, and positive youth development.

We ask the City Council to:

1. Prioritize community needs over a vocal minority who seek to limit park access.

2. Preserve and enhance youth programs by maintaining the availability of the park and its lighted fields, specifically for Mad Dogs Flag Football of Palm Coast.

3. Recognize the park as a safe, positive alternative to less structured or potentially harmful activities.

We urge you to stand with the many, not the few, and ensure that Ralph Carter Park remains a thriving space for youth sports and recreation.
