Hope for a more active community filled with support and opportunity for beach volleyball athletes is still alive. All athletes deserve a place to train in their own community. Growth opportunities exist that will benefit beach volleyball athletes of all ages, from novice to professional levels.
The new linear park near Downtown Miami could have beach volleyball courts if we voice our needs as a community to our elected officials. We can request more courts at Kennedy Park if the bathroom construction ever gets completed. Coral Reef Park located in the Village of Palmetto Bay has committed to building a third court but has not yet begun construction. The demand for more beach volleyball courts can be seen by the ever present overflow at the few existing courts... Your support is needed NOW.
