The City of ABQ provided an update today concerning construction of the indoor Olympic Pool at North Domingo Baca Park. 

A contract was awarded to Bradbury Stamm (BS).

BS is organizing to build Stage Two: Indoor Olympic Pool Infrastructure.

BS will build the pump and mechanical room, access road, and storm drainage, power, sewer, and water lines.

BS plans to complete Stage Two in September 2025. It will cost $12.7 million.

Stage One: Concrete Retaining Wall, Site Grading was completed in April 2024. It cost $5.3 million.

The Aquatic Center's Plan C.2 Design includes a 50-meter indoor Olympic competition pool, diving pool, 25-yard warmup pool, recreational play area with two slides, and seating for about 700 spectators.

The Department of Municipal Development will manage construction.

ABQ Parks & Recreation Department will manage the Aquatic Center.
